Suomen karsinta kohti Åren tapahtumaa järjestetään Helsingin Rautatientorin Jääpuistossa lauantaina 28.1.2012. Karsintatapahtuman 10 nopeinta luistelijaa lunastavat paikkansa kisajoukkueeseen edustamaan Suomea Åre:ssa 17.-18.2.2012. Karsinnoissa nopeus, ketteryys ja voitontahto ovat valttia. Karsinnat luistellaan jääkiekkokaukalossa tasamaalla. Radalle on rakennettu mm. hyppyjä, alituksia, esteitä ja ramppi. Radan elementit testaavat luistelijoilta vaativalla Red Bull Crashed Ice – tapahtuman radalla vaadittavia ominaisuuksia. Red Bull Crashed Ice –joukkueen karsintoihin voivat osallistua kaikki yli 16–vuotiaat miehet.
Karsintoihin osallistuminen on ilmaista.

NHL All-Star 2012 weekend starts tonight by Fantasy Draft.

 

NHL All-Star Player Fantasy Draft will divide the All-Stars and rookies into two teams for the 2012 NHL All-Star Weekend in Ottawa, Jan. 26-29: Team Alfredsson, led by captain Daniel Alfredsson of the All-Star host Ottawa Senators and his assistant captain Henrik Lundqvist of the New York Rangers; and Team Chara, featuring captain Zdeno Chara of the Boston Bruins and his assistant captain Joffrey Lupul of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
