The world’s best ice cross downhill athletes are in the Swedish mountain
resort of Are for what promises to be one of the fastest Red Bull
Crashed Ice races ever. The skaters regularly reach speeds of 70kph and
on Saturday they may go even faster. Kyle Croxall, of Canada, leads the
2012 World Championship and will be looking for a third straight win but
Germany’s Fabian Mels and champion Arttu Pihlainen are among a pack of
challengers chasing hard at his heels.
